Complaints

This sentence: "The complaints may be the cause of the album's quick disappearance from the charts, which was not the case with the previous Tubular Bells (I, II and III) albums." looks more like an anti-CD-protection comment than a piece of encyclopaedic knowledge. I'm not on anyones "side" here, but there are instances of this happening I believe.

Cheers for that Stephenjh - although those links are interesting, they still don't justify, in my opinion, the line in the article. I am sure that some people will have been angered by the CD protection, and that some may have not bought the CD because of it, but to say that this may have made the album fall from the charts is a bit of a leap - some people probably didn't buy it as they thought it was another cash-in my Oldfield - the reviews for this were worse than for the original, and if we're being logical this is much more likely to account for a comparative lack of sales. Fair enough, though I can state, as a collector that I will not purchase copy protected CD'S which I am unable to transfer to my Ipod or risk damaging my laptop and I know I am not alone on this. Dave Matthews and The Tea Party being two artists whose music I enjoy but whose latest cds I have not purchased for this reason. The Tea Party have now split up, I wonder if they would have done so if their last album was more successful? But you're correct it's a speculative argument, like the argument that the newer Ipods screens scratch more easily and the batteries expire faster than advertised perhaps? ;) Consumers will either win out on this or not, the arguments continue. -- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stephenjh (talk • contribs) 08:56, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

A Minor Tune?

I am curious to know whether the track "A Minor Tune" is named so in reference to it not being a huge tune, or is it so named because it is actually played in the key A-Minor? MrZoolook (talk) 15:41, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
