What's with the "See Also" section? Torrent Swapper hasn't been updated in 6 years and has nothing to do with Tribler50.43.86.20 (talk) 01:47, 18 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Who is this article aimed at?[edit]

It isn't understandable, I suggest, by anyone who wants to understand what Tribler is. If anyone understands what the article is saying, they don't need to read this article.

Like so many Wikipedia entries, people are talking to their own 'community' and not trying to involve the uninitiated. Cannonmc (talk) 02:18, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reads like an ad with too much hype.[edit]

I couldn't help but feel that this article goes a little past the facts. Such claims as "immune to limiting external action, for example, government restraint" and "the fact that its index is impossible to take down". While these have references they simple are not true claims to make. They do not take into acount factors such as filtering imposed by service providers (if Tribler packets can just be filtered out making it unusible I would not consider it immune to government restraint). In the same way it's not impossible to take it down. Just quite difficult. If enough people leach on the network it will revert to simply being a bittorrent client (as mentioned in their FAQ) and if enough people leach on the torrents they too will basically collapse. In short I feel that this article is making some wild claims. However I'm hard pressed to work out how to fix the article. Input would be great. Thank you. 80.7.27.189 (talk) 06:32, 5 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tribler is currently not fully anonymous[edit]

After reading this change (and the remove), I think that this article should be updated to mention that Tribler want to be anonymous (it's a project), but is not fully currently. This may avoid bad surprises to users coming from Wikipedia. Talks on Reddit about Tribler. For example the introduction sentence "Tribler is an open source anonymous peer-to-peer decentralized BitTorrent client." should be changed to something like "Tribler is an open source peer-to-peer decentralized BitTorrent client, with a project to be anonymous under certain circumstances." --Dadu (talk) 14:17, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

After reading more reddit users feedbacks, I feel it's urgent to update the article, so I do it.--Dadu (talk) 14:40, 21 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
