girl group?[edit]

shouldn't it be a girl band or all-women band? they do play instruments. Boneyard 15:32, 8 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"See also" section and nl version[edit]

I don't believe the links to other language wikis should be brought more to the attention than via the interwiki links on the lower left side, so im taking out the entry. ("*:nl:Treble (Dutch; Dutch Wikipedia entry)" Boneyard 11:42, 9 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem.
Explanation: I created this mistake while fixing a redlinked line-item in the article "List of songs in which the lyrics are exclusively nonsensical words":
Before: *"Ramaganana" by Treble (see :nl:Treble)
After: *"Ramaganana" by Treble
I wanted to put the excised part somewhere, so i dumped it into this article. I didn't notice that the new link i created here was a duplicate. The existing link doesn't display in the main page view, but on the left side as you mentioned. I also did not notice, at the end of the artcle's "source code", the existing "nl:Treble" -- which creates that left-side link.
New Lament: Each language's entries are independent of every other language's entries. Nothing automatically translates, so there is quite a bit more content in the Dutch version of this article. Someone might want to explore that foreign-language link, but obviously only if they know Dutch (or want to struggle with Dutch, or just look for pictures, or try using a machine translator on it). Other languages are not a mere meta-link like "navigation" or "toolbox". Putting the "in other languages" links on the left side might be a Wikimistake. Maybe they don't deserve to be prominently featured in a box like Wiktionary links, but they probably do not deserve to be hidden away either. Maybe they belong at the end of the article. If the user wants to look everywhere for links, i suppose they will eventually realize where to look for the inter-wiki "in other languages" links.
