No reliable references[edit]

Over the years many editors have put a lot of work into this article but, as of September 2021, there are no good references. One "reference" is just a list of several movies Meyer's been in, the other is a link to allmovie.com. I am attempting to find good sources of information, and plan to rewrite the article.

If I delete everything that I can't find a reference for the article will become much shorter. Since there is an extensive filmography I don't believe there is a need to list most of his roles in the career section. I will wait a month before rewriting this. I support your approach, Karenthewriter. I often wonder why some biographies contain paragraphs filled with prose that essentially repeats what is found more concisely in the filmography. Often they are padded with names of producers, directors, and/or other stars, none of which contribute information about the subject of the biography. I encourage you to proceed with your plan. Eddie Blick since I'm not finding too many references for Meyer I'm considering writing paragraphs on different topics. A paragraph on working with Preston Sturges, a paragraph on working in horror movies, etc. That would make in easy for readers to know he had a wide-range of roles. I'll work on this project off and on, and will plan on rewriting the article at the beginning of October. To be honest, I didn't know this gentleman existed, but I became interested in Winifred Westover, was researching her final film Lummox, clicked on a co-star's name, and was shocked to see there were no good references. Rewrote article, adding numerous references.[edit]

This article is now much shorter but, for the first time, there are good references. I felt there was no need to write about all of Meyer's films, or the films' stars, when there is a complete filmography, so anyone wanting to learn more about a film can click on a title and read a complete article.

I added a short section on the Knights' Cross received from the King of Denmark. No other editor felt that was important enough to mention, but it seems like a big deal to me.
