Untitled[edit]

When the band and album first came out, I believe that it was called simply "Planet P." I'm assuming there was legal action from the author of the book that inspired the name, as the word project was added to the naming. I vaguely seem to recall this and hearing this explained on the radio in the early 1980s. A casual Google search will show an album cover with just "Planet P" and others show "Planet P Project" Tim Barron (talk) 15:07, 4 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mainstream Rock chart vs. Top Rock Tracks[edit]

Songs that charted on Billboard's Top Rock Tracks chart are mostly credited to "Mainstream Rock Charts." (e.g., "What I See" (#25 on Mainstream Rock Charts).) This is the current name of the chart used by Billboard. However, during the early and mid 80s, when most of these songs were charting, the name of the chart they were ranked on was called Billboard's "Top Rock Tracks." I think that chart name should be used, as that was the the name of the chart they actually hit. The link for the chart can go to Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, but the article text should say Top Rock Tracks, IMO. Dcs002 (talk) 00:47, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding early history and career[edit]

I'm combining/merging background info I found and included in the Pink World page that really belongs here. I'll be expanding and organizing the career section and adding an early history section. OK, I recently imported a bunch of stuff from the Pink World page, and I'm pretty much done with that project. Please have a look at that page and the Planet P Project page to see how I've divided the material. There is a lot of overlap in the writing and content, though I tried to keep the focus in each article where it should be. Singles Section on Discography?[edit]

Why is there no singles section with chart entries in the discography? This is pretty standard across Wikipedia, and its absence is glaring. He had four Hot 100 entries (two Top 40) under his own name and one Hot 100 entry under Planet P Project MahlerFan (talk) 23:44, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
