No mention here of school boards or in ODNB - however Hen Taylor (feminist) had a high profile libel case with Thomas Scrutton who was on the London School Board. Are there two of them or does this biog miss an important episode? Victuallers (talk) 10:42, 20 October 2020 (UTC)
"Sweeping beard"[edit]
The article makes mention of this, with the fact that he apparently "never shaved", but the depictions in-article- as well as all others I could find online- indicate his beard to have been rather neatly kept. What was the source of this piece of information, just out of interest? Perhaps later in life he opted to trim his beard?
