Electoral history[edit]

A list of election results (e.g. position sought, name of challenger, percentage of votes) would round out this article well. -- Beland (talk) 21:57, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Awards[edit]

I suggest a section on Awards, since a 2013 honorary doctorate is NOT part of Murray's 'early career'! Further, I think that a section on awards as NOT 'promotional' - unless it's promoting Murray or characteristic of ALL awards, including that 2013 honorary doctorate from a school NOT in Boston. Politicians routinely receive awards from community groups. Routine news reporting is not a sufficient basis for inclusion in the encyclopedia. Also, adding an award that are referenced by Murray's website or a source affiliated with the award is inappropriate because they are not third-party sources and every article on Wikipedia must be based upon verifiable statements from third-party reliable sources. Lastly, an entire list of awards could be undue weight if it gives more prominence to one aspect of Murray's career. --Hirolovesswords (talk) 03:38, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Challenge to find 'independent citation' of the Plymouth University honorary doctorate before leaving that in the article. MaynardClark (talk) 02:07, 20 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
