There is more the the thenar eminence than muscle groups. For example, in addressing this topic, one should also consider sensroy properties and innervation of the region.

This page says that the adductor pollicis is innervated by the median nerve. However, the page on adductor pollicis says that it is innervated by the ulnar nerve, as does the textbook I have to hand (Whitaker and Borley's "Instant Anatomy" 3rd ed). 58.28.145.208 09:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think mentioning the adductor pollicis brevis is misleading and adds to confusion as it is not a thenar muscle like abductor pollicis brevis (according to McMinns Functional & Clinical Anatomy).Sbrookfield (talk) 11:24, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Innervation by deep branch of Ulnar nerve of Flexor Pollicis brevis (medial head) is not clearly stated! Adductor brevis should be linked! but clearly stated that it is NOT a part of the Thenar compartment. (Could a qualified Anatomist please review this article!)
