Books that I found on Google Books listing it as 1941 art include the following

Marsden Hartley: Race, Region, and Nation, Donna Cassidy (2005) Page 132 "New Deal murals and sculptures frequently depicted him as a young man , as in John Winters's Lincoln at New Salem ( 1938 ) in ... and James L. Hansen's sculpture Young Lincoln ( 1941 ) for the Los Angeles post office and courthouse ."

In addition to the above, California History volume 58 (1979) page 125.

Time might have gotten their facts wrong ... they said this statue was exhibited in 1939 as you noted, but this book says Lincoln on the Prairie by Anna Hyatt Huntington was exhibited at the World's Fair in 1939 and doesn't say anything about The Young Lincoln. ☆ Bri (talk) 23:03, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
