Last paragraph of plot[edit]

Can someone with knowledge of this film please clean up the confusing last paragraph? The paragraph immediately before implies that Kate and the kids drive away, but the next paragraph begins by stating that what follows is a vision. Is that incorrect and the "happy" ending was a hallucination or such, or is the final paragraph a hallucination and Kate driving away with the kids is the actual end of the film? Thank you for clearing this up. DonIago (talk) 14:25, 30 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. I straightened out the language after another attempt left it still a little confusing. The vision occurred while Kate looked at the art and Mrs. Grose remarked that it was lucky her mother's condition wasn't genetic. She and the children never escaped. I also simplified the subsequent couple of sentences. 98.235.93.231 (talk) 03:14, 6 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

About the Critical Reception[edit]

I had revised the page to describe the film's negative reception (ie. screenplay, pacing, and abrupt ending; along with praise towards Prince's performance and cinematography). I had reverted it upon noticing someone had already done this in the past, to which it got reverted for being considered subjective. I will admit I am a newbie when it comes to editing Wikipedia articles, but I have noticed other film articles use this tactic as well. Wouldn't it be informative to add how people generally received the film, or is it overall subjective?

Thank you,
