According to IMDb, premiere dates are as follows:

"The Moab Story": 24 May 2003, Cannes Film Festival
"Vaux to the Sea": February 2004, Berlin Film Festival
"From Sark to the Finish": 6 September 2003, Toronto Film Festival

Films & DVDs[edit]

Yes, the films were shown out of order:

"Pt. 1: The Moab Story": 24 May 2003
"Pt. 2: Vaux to the Sea": February 2004
"Pt. 3: From Sark to the Finish": 6 September 2003

I don't believe this was intended by Greenaway but rather an "artifact" of showing them at film festivals, not being shown when intended, etc. There were also DVD copies made in Spain (Region 2, PAL format) in 2003 of all three, which were given to the Flash designers competing to create "suitcases" (games/puzzles) for The Tulse Luper Journey as background/source material. Most of the suitcases include material from the DVDs as well as the two books mentioned on the page, and the film pieces one "earns" by "opening" a suitcase (solving the puzzle/winning the game) are taken from these films.

The three films above were finally compiled after someone "won" the online content into a film also released on DVD (Reg. 2/PAL) called "The Tulse Luper Suitcases".

A final film, called A Life in Suitcases (The Tulse Luper Journey) has been released on DVD and is for sale; sadly, it's also a Reg.2/PAL DVD from Spain. WinkJunior (talk) 21:49, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Critical response?[edit]

I.e., where is it? It's like an invisible event, recorded in histories but never seen, and not commented on by critics, who generally seem to critique the opening of a gas bill, but are in this case mysteriously lacking. Nuttyskin (talk) 02:55, 18 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
