Tom and Inch-High[edit]

An interesting side-note here, Tom of THUMB (which should redirect to this entry along with "Tom of T.H.U.M.B.") follows the same basic story elements as Inch High, Private Eye, the Hanna-Barbara cartoon that premiered seven years later. Both have a bumbling short trenchcoated investigator that annoys a mustached chief (called "Chief Chief" by Tom) and handles cases that only a short guy could handle. The main difference of course, aside from the secret agent/private investigator difference, is the inclusion of Jack, the racial chariacture sidekick.
