Black Comedy? Really?[edit]

Did this get mis-categorized, or did I see a weird cut of the film, or what? There are some very funny moments at various points in the film, but overall it's extremely bleak, and the dream-woman-with-murderous-father plot twist is the only thing that saves the film from being *relentlessly* bleak. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.60.24.115 (talk) 08:57, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose it depends on one's perspective. The idea of someone using medical incompetence to murder people is, I suppose, "funny" on the face of it. Which brings me to the following Discussion point... WilliamSommerwerck (talk) 13:48, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Plot Description![edit]

Whoever wrote the Plot section doesn't understand the film! The Hospital is an attack on the perceived inhumanity of modern medical care (qv, Mankiewicz's People Will Talk). Drummond turns the system against itself by creating victims who could have been saved if they'd been treated promptly and correctly. He isn't the one who murders them; it's the medical system. Influence section[edit]

I deleted this section b/c the only thing in it was about Chayefsky's next project (Network) which has is an unrelated subsequent event, not something this film "influenced." Henry chianski (talk) 17:23, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
