THEY MADE A MOVIE BASED OFF A VITAMIN?!?![edit]

wtf? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.172.55.80 (talk) 02:44, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The vitamins don't do much but I'm able to stop cars with my feet. Elhoti Rodehard (talk) 20:18, 26 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

imdb[edit]

imdb.com's cast listing for The Flintstones indicates that Halle Berry's character was named Rosetta Stone... which website contains the error? --Surprise of the Century 08:07, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

about this fact: The film's main title comes out of the clouds with a chorus singing it, an obvious homage to the famous opening sequence of The Simpsons, the first successful prime-time animated series since The Flintstones. Interestingly enough, a movie version of The Simpsons wiil be released to theaters in summer 2007. In my opinion, the last sentence about The simpsons movie is completly irelevent and should be removed.

Who did Rosie play? Fred?

Reality Check[edit]

The article claims that this turkey was a box office hit. That sounds bogus to say the least. It does seems to have legitimate sources to back that claim, so despite it blatantly contradicting what I remember, I won't dispute that point. What I will dispute is this article bias. The negative reaction from critics and the audience in general to this ungodly mess of a movie was overwhelming, and that's a claim I *can* back up with links to several, several movie reviews. I'm all for "being bold", but this is bound to create controversy, so I want to be sure my edits won't be reversed the next day 200.92.93.139 (talk) 05:00, 18 December 2007 (UTC) Corrigiendo Nomás[reply]

Well yeah...? Being a box office hit has nothing to do with it being given negative reviews. People still went to see it which is what the Box office figures refer to. Reviews are totally different. MisterShiney 17:36, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The box office numbers and the fact that they made a sequel are pretty clear indicators it was a hit. I recall critics not only hated it but were baffled by audiences who were aware of the scathing reviews but were still determined to see the film and judge for themselves. The Flintstones brand and the novelty value effectively made it critic proof. -- 109.79.171.15 (talk) 12:26, 2 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Revue jingle?[edit]

The article currently says: "When the Flintstones arrive at the theater, the logo has the 1956 Revue jingle." What is the "1956 Revue jingle"?

By the way, there is a comment above questioning whether The Flintstones was really a box office hit. Well, it was the 5th highest grossing movie of the year it was released; see Box Office Mojo. --Metropolitan90 (talk) 18:09, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough, Metropolitan90. As I said earlier, I did noticed the reference links, so I think I can live with the article as it currently is. I questioned this movie's box office success based on the poor reviews it got (and keeps getting) from critics and public alike. There is precedent for movies both criticaly reviled and commercialy successful, mind you, but this one somehow doesn't seem to fit that pattern.200.77.7.173 (talk) 22:31, 25 December 2007 (UTC)Corrigiendo Nomás.[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Flintstones ver2.jpg[edit]

Image:Flintstones ver2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Plot section[edit]

Why is the plot in another language? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.21.106.115 (talk) 09:53, 30 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. The article seems to be written in some approximation of English, "but not as we know it, Jim". A number of the sentences simply do not make sense. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.118.187.106 (talk) 14:43, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
