Talk:Template Attribute Language

The article has a note: "This article relies largely or entirely upon a single source." well, duh, TAL has a single authoritative specification. I don't think that's a problem.

Merge proposal[edit]

There are several articles around that discuss this topic, but they are split rather extensively across different pages, notably the METAL page, which is written in a similar fashion as this page. I suggest that these topics be merged to this page as it is the foundational concept that glues the related pages together. --maymay (talk) 15:00, 26 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Template attribute languages vs TAL[edit]

It might be more useful to make this article more into template attribute languages in general, which are getting very popular, at least in the Python world, and TAL, which is the orginal one that is a part of Zope Page Templates. It used to be the same, since TAL was first, but this is no more. :) --OpenFuture (talk) 11:24, 20 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
