Providing answers[edit]

In the section "Activities", it mentions

providing answers to test questions while the test is in progress

That is not "Teaching to the test" -- that is organizd cheating! You might say the motivation behind "Teaching to the test" might drive someone to provide answers too, but it is not the same. - I haven't consulted the source; does it actually say that providing answers is a case of "Teaching to the test" - or does it perhaps merely mention it in the same context?--Nø (talk) 10:51, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you look at the "Ethics" list, this is basically covered by point 7. The sources I have consulted agree that it constitutes an extreme form of teaching to the test - although I fully agree that it is cheating! Nikkimaria (talk) 12:34, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article currently lacks encyclopedic tone. It should be rewritten with more neutrality toward the subject. Some sentences do not contain facts or are argumentative. Lephantome (talk) 11:04, 25 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

POV-BIAS TAG[edit]

Hi, I'm actually a registered user, just couldn't be bothered logging in. Anyway, this article is extremely biased in that it says teaching to the test never raises results. This is an extremely biased generalisation based upon just one source. Teaching to the test often raises grades, but however as stated in the article, doesn't provide a very deep understanding of the topic. Someone should edit out all the bits saying it doesn't raise results, or possibly re-word it to aknowledge that it's an arguable generalisation. Either that or get some more references supporting the POV on it not raising results. Thanks!
