Can anyone confirm that Tan Siew Sin said something about if a Chinese University opens in Malaysia, "iron tree would bloom flower"?

Cheers

Work, life, and controversies[edit]

It is rather strange that a biography does not include what the person did in his life, instead only mentioning his early life and death. Tan Siew Sin is an important financial minister who played a role in the shaping of Malaya, and even in the separation of Malaya and Singapore, creating Malaysia and Singapore. It would be good to mention: - His work : policies he made, and so on - Controversies : debates surrounding his economic policies, dispute with Mr. Lee Kuan Yew, then prime minister of Singapore
