Song Length[edit]

I changed the song length to 3:48 because I have the original 7" and that's what it is (at least in the U.S. - Asylum E-45293). If it is different elsewhere, someone could make a clarification. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Boyjohn2 (talkcontribs) 02:13, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Progression[edit]

I think this song is very similar to "If You Don't Know Me By Now", by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. Like "Lean on Me", it was also released three years earlier than "Take It To The Limit". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.248.181.163 (talk) 06:50, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Credits[edit]

"oddly, (Frey) credited the song to himself and Henley but made no mention of Meisner."

"Oddly". Uh huh. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.236.178 (talk) 15:34, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Marx/ASKA[edit]

This there any proof that Richard Marx and Aska recorded this song in 1997? The only song I know that they did together was Every Day Of Your Life Jeremy (talk) 05:34, 6 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Meaning of the song[edit]

Take it to the limit is such an amazing song, one of the most gracious songs I ever heard in my life and I heard a lot of music. It would be nice if somebody could add the meaning of the song.

That has been added in the background section. Hzh (talk) 14:58, 27 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks a lot Hzh!

Lead guitar[edit]

In the "Personnel" section I read "Don Felder: Lead guitar" but, as far as I can tell, the song has no lead guitar so I don't see the point.

///[edit]

My apologies. Undoing my own edit. I hadn’t meant to edit the article at all. I didn’t intend to edit the lead, adding “///“. I reverted it. This is why I do not normally edit on my iPhone. Juneau Mike (talk) 01:48, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
