Page move[edit]

The page should move to Surrey Quays railway station (currently a redirect. This will conform with other stations on the London Overground system. Kbthompson (talk) 23:58, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

None with me. Btw, if this goes ahead then Wapping tube station, Rotherhithe tube station, New Cross station and New Cross Gate station should be moved to have to railway station part as well. Eventually, Canada Water tube station and Whitechapel tube station should both have the tube part removed to reflect they will be multi-modal interchanges. I assume this is noted at WT:LT and WP:UKT? Simply south not SS, sorry 00:11, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re-opening[edit]

We really need a better source than a blog for the re-opening date. TfL seem to be silent on the matter. According to this site, 15 April is "strongly rumoured", but that's not hard fact. --Redrose64 (talk) 16:18, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've looked for a definitive source and there doesn't seem to be anything aside from blogs with some quite detailed info. National Rail timetable (http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/timetable/times) also has trains on the line from Friday 16th also strongly indicating some sort of opening on the 15th. So looks like a very strong chance there will be something on the 15th, but maybe they are holding back on a announcement until the last minute in case there are glitches Surfermoon (talk) 19:28, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Link is no good: it throws an error "Sorry, but your session has timed out". It's probably one of those where you need to start off by filling in some forms, and then it returns a result which exists only for as long as you're connected. Try just http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ -you have to play around with the journey planner but it does offer pretty solid evidence that the current intention is that the line will be open by the 16th at least, and it is the official website of the national railway operator! I think I've found why everybody's so cagey:

Map[edit]

The 'Surrey Quays within greater London' map is completely wrong - it shows Surrey Quays as being completely outside London, when it is in fact close to the river Thames. Ukch (talk) 18:18, 27 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
