I've moved this from the article. The main problem is: the song was written by Seals & Crofts, not O'Kelly Isley, Jr. I haven't read the book, so I don't know if the book credits Isley or not, but this section, as written, only makes sense if Isley did write the song. This would need to be rewritten to be included. freshacconcispeaktome 17:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • The song becomes an example of an ontological paradox in the Doctor Who spin-off novel Happy Endings by Paul Cornell. In the book, The Isley Brothers are transported from the sixties to a point in their relative future, by the mysterious time-travelling "Doctor" to play at a wedding. Somewhat confusingly, O’Kelly Isley finds Summer Breeze on a jukebox, meaning that he has heard the song before he has ever written it. Despite the Doctor’s warnings, that such things can be dangerous however, O’Kelly looks it up elsewhere, feeling somehow that it’s important. As a result, the song comes to be written by none other than Time itself.[1] This conceit is further complicated by the fact that the Isley Brothers did not write the song in the first place but this would appear to be a mistake on the author's part.

"Summer Breeze" on Noodles & Co. Soundtrack this Month[edit]

For the month of March of 2008, a newer version of this original hit has made its way to the Noodles & Co. soundtrack. It's unclear as to who's remixed version this is, although it sounds distinctly like Jason Mraz. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.204.95.56 (talk) 03:29, 28 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The most incredible version of this song is by....[edit]

  • The Ray Conniff Singers. And I'm not being funny, ironic or anything else. Find it and see. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.230.41 (talk) 01:06, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • I once heard a reggae version, no joke, with the refrain, "Collie weed, makes me feel fine!" I can't seem to remember the performer though. 159.83.183.180 (talk) 02:39, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
