Wrong population[edit]

Population 1,240,000 (estimated) looks a little bit wrong for small town Chieftl (talk) 13:11, 25 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it is the population of the whole Sumedang Regency from 2016 BPS Census. Non-officially, the town consists of two districts (kecamatan), Sumedang Utara is the seat of the Sumedang Regency and Sumedang Selatan is the old town area. Taking that into account and based on the link above, the population should be 96,281 (Sumedang Utara) + 77,225 (Sumedang Selatan). 140.213.0.28 (talk) 08:34, 20 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
