The Kurdistan Region Statistics Office published the population of Sulaymaniyah Governorate in 2015.

And the area of Sulaymaniyah Governorate is 20.143 km²

I found a source that shows us the population of Sulaymaniyah Governorate without Halabja Governorate which became a own Province.
