Feedback from New Page Review process[edit]

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for this new article. Note that it is currently an "Orphan" meaning that no other Wikipedia articles link TO it. This makes the article tough to find for interested readers. It should be fairly easy to link with other articles on the Subaru company and its other models. See WP:DE-ORPHAN for pointers..

If this could be merged with the WRX page (which is a redirect at the moment), it would be much easier to find. Kk027 (talk) 18:38, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding my earlier edit[edit]

I removed an engine option in my recent edit. It seems to provide the implication that the VA-body WRX would use the FA24 engine, yet makes no further mention of it and cites no sources. I am aware they will use the FA24 engine in the *next* WRX, but I have found no sources saying it will be added to the VA-body in particular.

That said, the info header for the article seems to pertain almost entirely to the VA-body with no real provisions for the next generation. I should make an edit to move some of these tidbits particularly to the VA-section so that there's less confusion. I will need to figure out how I want to approach this, though. — R. J. So I've decided to split the automobile infobox on the article similar to how the Impreza article infoboxes are laid out.

Again, if someone is able to find an article saying the VA-body *will* use the FA24F engine, feel free to add it back in. For now, I have added it back *only* for the next generation as a speculative. — R. J. Circuscontribs - talk – 21:39, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Subaru "Performance" Transmission[edit]

With the recent announcement about the new WRX, Subaru also announced that it will be available with an automatic transmisson dubbed "Subaru Performance Transmission." Whether this is a continuously variable transmission like the other new Subaru automatics or an actual shifting automatic is not certain; Subaru seemed to avoid the "CVT" terminology in their press release, and recent publishings from news outlets are torn on what kind of transmission it is (Motor Trend says it's a geared automatic but Car and Driver says it's a CVT, for example). That said, I believe it might be best to avoid implications for now until further details regarding the specifics of the "SPT" become public. Anyone else have thoughts? — R. J. Likewise, before anyone throws a model code moniker to the second generation, I want to point out that there isn't yet any evidence suggesting the model code of the 2022 WRX. — R. J. Circuscontribs - talk – 21:02, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Subaru Rally[edit]

Very little mention of rally-spec WRXs, such as the 23r. Would it be within the scope of this article to include WRXs used in ARA rally events? vghfr, harbinger of chaos 04:19, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Harbinger of chaos: I think that would be a great addition to the article. Kk027 (talk) 16:12, 6 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Subsection for 1st gen Levorg?[edit]

I noticed that the 2nd gen Levorg has a subsection under the VB part of the article, which makes sense (though I think the Japanese model should be referenced, as it currently isn't). I've written up a subsection for the 1st gen Levorg to go with the VA section of the article, but wanted to ask if there were any objections to adding this before I went through with the edit. I realize the 1st gen Levorg wasn't given the "WRX wagon" title by Subaru like they did with the 2nd generation, but I still think its worth mentioning here because of the similarities between the 2.0 GT-S trims and the VA WRX.
