Untitled[edit]

What is the source that Too Much Sleep is a remake of Stray Dog? It only seems to take the concept of a stolen gun. This seems to be the same reason that people said PTU is a remake of Stray Dog, even though the films are totally different apart from the concept of a stolen or lost pistol. Quite a lot of films use this device, and they are not remakes of Stray Dog. As far as I know the only actual remake of this picture is the 70s movie with Watari that takes place in Okinawa. Editorializing[edit]

"...gives the film depth"?!? Start a bloody blog if you want to write an editorial. Most of the other Mifune+Kurosawa pages I just looked at suffer from the same problem. Where are those vicious Wikipedia editors when you need them? 68.32.5.81 (talk) 05:19, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actual Stray Dog Dead?[edit]

I'll admit to being an animal rights activist as well as a fanatical Kurosawa fan. This film begins strikingly with the extended image (over a minute) of an obviously desperately thirsty, sunstruck, crazy-eyed dog. In written descriptions of the filming process, has anybody who knows ever commented on the survival (or not) of the actual dog?
