Corrected description of quoted person[edit]

Under section Present Day I noticed that concerning a call for a feasibility study into reopening the line to connect with HS2, 'the MP for Stoudley near Market Drayton, Andrew Stanley' is quoted as being in support. No MP of that name has existed in the British Parliament and Stoudley (apparently a hamlet) does not google up in Wikipedia. A check of the cited Shropshire Star report shows that Andrew Stanley is merely a resident of Stoudley, so I have corrected the description on this page. Had he lived in the Shropshire portion of the line's area he would be constituent of the MP for North Shropshire, Owen Patterson.Cloptonson (talk) 21:07, 29 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed that bit altogether. A statement by a failed parliamentary candidate from some years ago and a random member of the public supporting it are not notable events. Nthep (talk) 07:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
