Fair use rationale for Image:Stewshop.gif[edit]

Image:Stewshop.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Modest chain?[edit]

With almost 400 stores and being so dominate in the Capital Region can it really be fair to call it a "modest" chain, especially considering how much they are expanding. It would be like calling Price Chopper modest. Local doesnt mean the same thing as modest. Camelbinky (talk) 00:12, 1 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Grateful vendors?[edit]

Wondering what this means exactly:

"Without this new local plant available, many local dairy farmers would have had to go out of business, and they were grateful vendors."

Was Saratoga Dairy the plant referred to here? Also, what does 'grateful vendors' mean? The local dairy farmers were grateful to Saratoga Dairy or Saratoga Dairy were the grateful vendors? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Balculator (talkcontribs) 12:35, 25 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed this as unsourced and POV. Daniel Case (talk) 05:06, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ilion ny stewarts[edit]

When was it established in Ilion NY 69.193.31.107 (talk) 20:30, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I think you'd have to ask the company, or look in local records to see when it might have been built, i.e., when the permits were issued. Or it might be in old local newspapers.

That's not really the sort of information we put in these articles, unless someone decides to take a deep dive and "do the research" to write a detailed history of the company, which might include a passing mention of when stores were opened in certain locations. The information is probably there, somewhere, maybe not necessarily online. Daniel Case (talk) 21:25, 29 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
