It would be useful to know if or when Oyster is due at this station. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Newschapmj1 (talkcontribs) 18:32, 14 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Recent move[edit]

On what grounds was the page moved from St James Street railway station to St. James Street railway station? --Redrose64 (talk) 17:26, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A full stop after St seems to be the sole reason.--Davidvaughanwells (talk) 20:23, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There isn't a full stop on the station nameboards, nor in the National Rail info page. Moreover, this full stop may be correct American English, but it's not correct British English: the convention is to put full stops on a contraction except where the contraction and the word contracted both end in the same letter. --Redrose64 (talk) 09:23, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know whether this is the work of our full stop happy friend but the first sentence is a bit nonsensical! - "St. James Street railway station formerly known as St James Street" Must get round to adding a bit of pre Wikipedia history to this page at some point. --Davidvaughanwells (talk) 18:13, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
