"Gorshkov Class" refers to a new series of Russian frigates. The Kiev class carrier named FAMSU Gorshkov has never been a class unto itslef.Федоров (talk) 18:57, 25 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merger[edit]

Not going to "officially propose" it anytime soon, but I was wondering what Wikipedia's policy is regarding ships sold and renamed to another country? Two seperate pages, or 'original user' redirected to 'current/final user'? - Aerobird 15:02, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I second this merge

Please see the way the ARA General Belgrano is listed. She is listed seperately as a USN vessel and independently as a Argentine Cruiser. Her operational history should be considered seperately. Cheers V. Joe 16:33, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The vessels should be kept separate -- look at the treatment of the Kidd class destroyers. Note that this does not mean creating a new class article -- see Upholder/Victoria class submarine. —Joseph/N328KF (Talk) 15:48, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Problems[edit]

Shouldn't some of the problems with Russia delivering this carrier be in the article: http://www.jamestown.org/single/?tx_ttnews[tt_news]=40187&no_cache=1#.VrPvS1XyuUk
