This says opened in 1902 replacing Commercial Docks. Course (1962) agrees with the year but has Commercial Docks closing in 1866. Any explanation?--SilasW (talk) 19:21, 24 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, except in the Abandoned Stations reference. You can find Commercial Docks station's location at the bottom of an 1872 map at [1]. Perhaps 100 yards along from the later Southwark Park railway station? --Rumping (talk) 00:07, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
R.W.Kidner's 1963 2nd edition, with revisions, of Dendy Marshall's History of the Southern Railway on p364 says Southwark Park station was on the site of the long-closed Commercial Dock station. On p523 it gives Commercial Docks (with added "s") station closing on 1 Jan 1867--SilasW (talk) 17:52, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
