Sir in Bilge Khagan Inscriptions[edit]

I reread the 735 Bilge Khagan inscriptions (link: https://bitig.kz/?lang=e&mod=1&tid=1&oid=24&m=1 ) which the folks at Türik Bitig have translated. (E)Sir 𐰾𐰃𐰼 did not appear at all. Did Ergin mistake asïra (𐰀𐰽𐰺) "blessing" for (E)Sir?

  • I've just obtained a pdf copy of Ergin's book. The relevant letters are 𐱃𐰃𐰾𐰃𐰼 t1 ɪ s2 ɪ r2; Ergin transcribed them as "tï Sir" while Türik Bitig folks transcribed them as "tïsï er". I think it likelier that Ergin was correct, as 𐰃 ɪ after 𐰾 s2 would be /i/, not /ɯ/.Erminwin (talk) 05:16, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You do know that none of the chinese translators agree with the turkish one?. Since they are not bothering really to learn chinese or follow set rules. Search the early "ughyr" text they translated, turned out to be middle persian christian, but they did have translation . in the codex cumanicus, They are not used to abjad scripts — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.254.167.16 (talk) 11:51, 3 June 2020 (UTC) Bennanak88 (talk) 20:38, 31 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
