Video Doorbell Pro
On October 16, 2018, SimpliSafe announced the launch of its smart doorbell, the Video Doorbell Pro. The doorbell launched at a price point of $169, with features such as an HD camera, a heat sensor, and built-in microphones. The Video Doorbell Pro additionally supports two-way audio with the SimpliSafe App on iOS and Android. SimpliSafe worked with IDEO to design the Video Doorbell Pro. At the time of launch, SimpliSafe offered three doorbell color schemes: Obsidian, Cloud, and Jade. [1]

Smart Lock
On August 21, 2019, SimpliSafe announced the launch of its Smart Lock. [2] All Smart Locks are shipped with a black PIN Pad that allows customers to lock and unlock their SimpliSafe system at the door. The Smart Lock can also be locked and unlocked through the SimpliSafe App. The Smart Lock communicates with the system and PIN pad via an RF radio. The lock is powered by four AA batteries, and the PIN Pad runs on two 3V DL2450 coin batteries. The Smart Lock is an inch thick (7.5 by 2.7 by 1.0 inches) and is available in three colors: Cloud, Black, and Nickel. [3]

Integrations
On April 10, 2018, SimpliSafe also integrated with August Smart Lock, allowing SimpliSafe users to lock and unlock their door automatically upon arming and disarming their system, respectively. [4] SimpliSafe also integrated with Amazon Alexa in 2018. Alexa users are able to check their system status with voice commands, as well as arm — but not disarm — their system. [5] On Sep 19, 2018, SimpliSafe integrated with Google Assistant. As with Alexa, SimpliSafe users can check their system status or arm their system with voice commands. [6]

Explanation of issue: The current article only mentions the SimpliCam and Nest thermostat integrations, but SimpliSafe offers a number of other products and integrations.

Cancellation policies and FTC[edit]

SimpliSafe allows you to easily buy an alarm system and set up monitoring online with no human interaction. You apparently cannot, under any circumstance, cancel or modify the monitoring service without being required to call and speak to them.
