Inaccuracies[edit]

This bio has some glaring inaccuracies. The article starts out describing how Lubin was an ophthalmologist (even 150 years ago an ophthalmologist was an MD). An optometrist was more akin to an oculist during this time period. In the second instance, once Lubin Films is destroyed old Lubin returns to become an "optometrist". It is unlikely he would start out as an MD and return as someone who makes and fills an optometrist's order. In the days described reading glasses were fairly common - only the wealthy could afford proper eye care. But either this man was an ophthalmologist and returned to ophthalmology or he was optometrist and returned to optometry but he didn't start out as one and return to the other - that makes zero sense.

The jump from owning a studio and losing it all has some logic faults if one carefully reads the content.

Racist films[edit]

It's weird that his racist films aren't noted such as the "Rastus" films he made. FloridaArmy (talk) 08:28, 14 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
