Location and status[edit]

Since this area was part of Jefferson City, which New Orleans annexed in 1870, shouldn't it also now be in Orleans Parish? Is it still considered a distinct neighborhood?Bruin2 (talk) 19:31, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, Shrewsbury was not part of Jefferson City. Jefferson City was located in what is now uptown New Orleans, and Shrewsbury was located in Jefferson Parish near modern Causeway Blvd. Britinvasion64 (talk) 06:28, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
