Her whole family is deaf?[edit]

Just wondering about this quote:

She was born in Walnut Creek, California into a Jewish and deaf family

Is this a misplaced modifier or something? I'd never heard of a condition whereby deafness was hereditary, but maybe I don't know. Just curious if this statement is accurate or not. --Lurlock 18:01, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Appropriate stub tag[edit]

I had stub tagged this article as "US actor/actress born in the 1980s", as per the stub sorting project. The first line reads "Shoshannah Stern (born 3 July 1980) is an American actress.", and imdb says estentially the same, born 1980, actress in 12 shows. If you don't agree with it, please select a more appropriate tag, here is the list, rather than just revert.

Secondly, the edit summary says the stub tag "doesn't work", I don't see what is referred to, it looks fine to me. Please describe what doesn't work, there are 141 other articles with this tag. Ahh ok, I misinterpreted it as an actress who worked in the 80s, not an actress born in the 80s. Regardless, the stub tag is still broken in that no matter where you put it in the article, it always appears("This article about an American television actor born in the 1980s is a stub. You can help Wikipedia by expanding it.") in a very hard to see location at the very bottom of the article, not where the stub tag is placed. This does not work like {{stub}} where the stub text appears where the {{stub}} tag is placed and basically makes the 80s one pretty much useless. -Mike Payne (T • C) 00:58, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, 80's actor would mean famous during the 80s to me. Regarding the placement, the advice from the project page is "It is common practice to put the tag at the very bottom of the article, after all other templates and often after the categories.". I've normally put it between the categories and the other langauge links, I'll put it just before the references if there are no objections.XLerate 01:21, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The stub tag has been put back, but it moved to the end of the page anyway. If the article is expanded so it is no long a stub this becomes an non issue. XLerate 05:52, 30 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
