Line 7 Sheppard East?[edit]

@Geo Swan: @Natural RX: @Nfitz: @Secondarywaltz:

According to the TTC's official Twitter feed, it has designated this line as Line 7 Sheppard East.

I am asking for consensus, especially given WP:Twitter-EL. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 01:31, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

See the discussion at Talk:Finch West LRT#Line 6 Finch West?. While we might be close to adding Line 6 to Finch, adding Line 7 to Sheppard seems highly premature, given that this "announcement" from one of TTC's many twitter accounts is far less official than the previous 2013 pronouncement that Line 6 would be Sheppard and Line 7 would be Finch. Most importantly, there is still a group of politicians, from all parts of government, campaigning to cancel this line. We are still many years away from construction beginning. I don't think this should happen until we are in the RFP process at least. It could be Line 12 at this rate, given council's recent renewed interest in building the Eglinton West LRT, Scarborough Malvern LRT, Jane LRT, and Relief Line! Metrolinx and the Alstom LRV purchase[edit]

I reverted the addition of the Citadis Spirit vehicles to this article by an IP just now. From what I read (Metrolinx press release via Steve Munro's blog, maybe not the most reliable but better than no source at all) the Alstom purchase is meant to ensure that there are cars for Eglinton to open on time in case Bombardier continues to not deliver. If Bombardier does come through, the Alstom cars will be used on either Finch or the Hurontario LRT. There is no mention of the Alstom cars being potentially used on Sheppard. Map needed[edit]

Please add a map to show where this line would be. 70.26.14.187 (talk) 23:00, 23 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect of “line 7”[edit]

The EELRT (Eglinton East) has officially taken the title of line 7 in a recent metrolinx report. The EELRT deserves its own wiki page and the redirect of line 7 should be reserved for it 184.146.202.26 (talk) 02:54, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
