I was the one who wrote the 'inner beauty examples' section. Why was this deleted? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.208.226.140 (talk) 05:37, 30 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The editor who deleted it called it "cruft"[1] in their edit summary. I would have called it WP:OR original research. -- 109.79.69.160 (talk) 11:22, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The production of this film was moved up and they made sure to finish it before July 2001 because of the threatened Screen Actors Guild strike, which I noted in the production section. In the end, the strike never happened as an agreement was reached.[2]
Another bit of context I think that might be relevant is that the film was released shortly after the September 11 attacks and I thought there might be some comment about any effects that may or may not have had on filmgoers but I have not yet found any relevant box office stories for this film. (Monsters Inc and Harry Potter were dominating at the time.) Incidentally director Bobby Farrelly, had been booked the 9/11 flight out of Boston but rescheduled to attend a charity event organised by Tom Sherak and although I think it provides some interesting background[3] it is tangential to the film itself and isn't worth including in the article for now. -- 109.79.69.160 (talk) 13:49, 10 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
