July 2019 rewrite[edit]

I edited the article extensively to update article links, the location of the school, edit out the outdated architecture portion, and generally clean it up.Kazari (talk) 17:47, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Perspectives[edit]

The article states that middle schools stays within the state of Texas, but during my years (fall 96-spring 99) we went to Corpus Cristi, Big Bend (w/ day trip to Mexico) and Colorado. My sister entered the middle school 4 years after me and she did the same trips. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.96.78.179 (talk) 06:47, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright Problem[edit]

History section as it currently appears in the article is largely a lift from The Handbook of Texas Online http://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/SS/kbs64.html with only minor changes/additions. Way too much of the phrasing is lifted verbatim. Oswald Glinkmeyer (talk) 18:17, 17 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As the author of much of the content in question, I can tell you that that was a source -- and it should be credited -- but that much of the material is not from The Handbook of Texas. Specifically the architecture, Perspectives, Newton Rayzor details and other aspects. I can rewrite it any way you want. Kazari (talk) 03:10, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the History section so that you may rewrite it at your leisure. Please be sure that the language is not copied from or does not follow too closely on The Handbook of Texas Online or any other non-free source. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 12:52, 6 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the issue is not that you used the Handbook of Texas, but that the wording was much too close, so close that it looked like several parts were cut-and-pasted. Oswald Glinkmeyer (talk) 15:28, 9 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have rewritten the history and welcome your edits. Kazari (talk) 00:05, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
