The Australian cricket team hasn't yet arrived in India. Hence,I cannot use the article Australian cricket team in India in 2008-09 as it would be highly misleading. So, this article is used to cover the controversies that have arisen. I'm of the opinion that if the tour happens, then this article couldbe merged with the other one. Anyway, I'm open to whatever decision Wikipedians taken. If a decision on the contrary is taken, then I'm ready to abide by it-RavichandarMy coffee shop 18:09, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sir, by fact, I have created the page named Australian cricket team in India in 2008-09, the information used in this page is good and very important, and I by heart appraise your contribution to Wikipedia, but to reduce the no. of pages, you should add this info, to the main page Australian cricket team in India in 2008-09, as this page would be visited by users mostly, so to avoid any confusion I request you to move this info to the main page, as of October 5, 2008, Australian Cricket Team has arrived in India and has played 2 practice matches as well. Your replies are invited. Thank You. Aradhya, User talk:Aru123, 14:36, 5 October 2008 (IST).
Now there's no doubt that Australian tour of India is a fact... there's no need for 2 articles any more (actually there was never need for 2 articles), and the content of this article should be moved to the article of the tour, and then this article should be redirect.--Nitsansh (talk) 15:12, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have any issues over it. You are free to proceed with the merger. But then, as you might notice the article has been nominated as a DYK once and I don't know if it is possible to go ahead with the merge. Anyway, if the featuring of the article on the main page wouldn't affect matters then you are free to go ahead with the merge -RavichandarMy coffee shop 15:47, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
As I see it, there are 2 possible solutions: 1. To move the content of this article into a section on the main tour article. 2. To leave this seperate article and make a reference from the main article to this with a {{main}} template. Either way, this article should be updated and include events between September 17 (where it currently ends) and the final decision that the tour would go ahead. --Nitsansh (talk) 16:19, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The second suggestion appears good to me. :-) Besides if we are to merge this article with another, what shall we do with the DYK tag in the talk page. Shall we affix it to the talk page of the merged article or remove it altogether. -RavichandarMy coffee shop 16:34, 13 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
