Needs major surgery[edit]

I stumbled across this page because as part of my job I needed to find out where Seaton Delaval actually is. You'd think that would be fairly basic information for an encyclopedia, but it's hardly prominent here... scrolling down a few pages there are some references to Northumberland, but it's a bit cryptic...

The basic problem here is that this article isn't encyclopedic at all! It's little more than just a big copy-and-paste exercise from other websites such as seatondelaval.org.

I propose to radically edit this, more along the lines of say the Alnwick article. That means that probably 90% of the current text will go. Is that OK?

Population[edit]

Anyone have a source for the figure given here? According to this it's only 4,371, but I'm not sure if that includes all areas of Seaton Delaval. Darksun (talk) 00:00, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This appears a much more accurate figure for the population. Heaven only knows where the 7,000 figure came from. I have changed the figure in the article. Skinsmoke (talk) 17:45, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notability?[edit]

It appears edits from some IP addresses and 92.17.99.57 are adding people who may not satisfy notability criteria. As such, I have removed them, due to lack of evidence for their notability. Feel free to revert my changes if I am wrong. --Noom talk 14:21, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

When adding Ryan Hall please link it to the specific person rather than the disambig page to help confirm notability. Noom talk 14:23, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
