Source[edit]

Here's a link to a source for detail on the "haunted" aspects of this article that can be used as base material to put together a paragraph to replace the incredibly poorly written (and unreferenced) tagged paragraph that I just removed:

I'm not trying to be a jerk making what looks like "picky" edits. It's very difficult to find reliable sources for this kind of article, as you undoubtedly already know, "oral legends" are just that; legends. The only two sources that I've been able to track down so far, that in my opinion have any hope of meeting Wiki's "reliability" policies, are the library website and the entry in Colombo's book. Even the website source that I first suggested above, after closer examination, is likely to be dismissed as "unreliable" and "self published" according to policy. Information regarding this place found on local "ghost hunter" sites is definitely going to be shot down as a "self-published source". I rejected the idea that "all variants" include a mention that the match must be extinguished before the ghostly screams are supposedly heard, because Colombo's version only claims that the match is lit; not put out. With only two available reliable sources for this tale, we have to try and stick to what we have. Also, because this is after all a local "ghost story/legend", we also have to try an maintain a neutral tone when talking about it. When I use terms like "alleged" and "purported", I realize I"m killing some of the 'fun' of the whole thing, but we are talking about a legend here. cheers Deconstructhis (talk) 03:43, 16 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
