Homonym[edit]

Sachsia is currently in use for two genera governed by the same nomenclatural code (ICNAFP). This shouldn't happen, and one of the names will need to be replaced. Until a replacement name is given for the later homonym, the best we can do on Wikipedia is reflect the names as they are currently being used. As far as I can determine, the fungus genus is the later homonym (described in 1894), while the plant genus was described in 1866. Plantdrew (talk) 21:02, 14 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
