Russell Brand mentions getting sacked by MTV in interview

In an interview with MTV, which is kind of ironic, Russell Brand mentions getting sacked by MTV and makes a pretty joke of it. G20 protests

Some of the media reported that Brand was at the 2009 G-20 London summit protests. Was he there? If so, did he take part in the protests? Nietzsche 2 (talk) 07:25, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Spam

I don't get it

This sentence doesn't make sense to me: "He left school and home at 16, at which time his mother had lymphoma and he did not get on with her live-in partner." Specifically, "get on." What does this mean? Should we change it?--66.255.24.130 (talk) 18:46, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

I am guessing you are American - here we would say he didn't get along with his mother's partner. "Get on" is a British phrase. Might be good to have a less coloquial expression. 76.235.57.96 (talk) 04:34, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Any idea what would be better wording? It is relevant to his bio as it was a factor in him leaving home at 16. We could say that Brand and his mother's partner disliked each other, but I don't know if they simply disliked each other or if there was more to it than that.
