"Song" versus "Instrumental"[edit]

This article is very well written and extremely thorough in content and cited sources and references. However, I question the term: song to describe a work written expressly as an instrumental piece for the piano (or in this case: moog synthesizer). The definition of the word song normally refers to words set to music or a composition written specifically for the human voice. To call Billy Joel's Root Beer Rag a song would be similar to that of calling Scott Joplin's Maple Leaf Rag a song. Which it is not (except where it has lyrics placed to it and published as such). I would welcome the discussion for a better term to insert in place of the usage for the word song throughout this article so as not to cause confusion to the reader. I propose instrumental piece or instrumental work for piano in place of song. Maineartists (talk) 01:22, 4 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Fixed.

Instrumentals[edit]

"...and is one of three studio instrumentals that Joel has released."

Actually, Joel has released an entire album of studio instrumentals, 13 of them: Fantasies & Delusions. If he's released 3 other studio instrumentals, then he's released 16, total. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.253 (talk) 21:39, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
