NPOV tag[edit]

Examples:

  • "His heading powers were awesome"
  • "Davies was a tremendous hit in his three seasons at Carrow Road and there was an outcry when City let him go for what was considered by many to be a derisory sum. The fact that the big Welshman went on to score another 152 goals and win 29 caps before retiring in 1975 merely added to the feeling that manager Lol Morgan had sold him cheap"
  • "As the Saints progressed into the 1970s many top clubs learned how to cope with Davies' aerial power and he took a battering from many a desperate defender unable to cope with his mastery of the airways"

I have cut into this article drastically, for the reasons stated above. Also because it is unencyclopaedic to use football team nicknames etc in sentences. I feel that the NPOV tag can now go but, I'm afraid, I will be adding a citations tag - this article is desperately short on references and might as well have come from a 1960s boys' soccer comic. Maybe it did! - Sitush (talk) 14:54, 9 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
