Seal[edit]

What happened to Rockland's Official seal? How/Why was it deleted, I cant seem to track down why or when it was deleted.--Azslande 17:04, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Historical Population Data[edit]

The data listed from 1960-1980 seems like it may be inaccurate. In fact it seems very unlikely that the information is accurate. If someone could check that it would be great. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrNewcomb (talk • contribs) 12:06, 1 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I expect the population data are accurate, drawn directly from the US Census. What is of interest to me is an explanation for the 1950 to 1960 dramatic decrease, then the sharp increase 1980 to 1990, not yet matching the 1950 population. Does anyone locally know the story? The History section indicates changes in the economic strengths of the town, but does not tell a story to explain the shifts in population. --Prairieplant (talk) 16:32, 10 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Education[edit]

I changed University College of Rockland to UMA Rockland Center, which appears to be its current name; see University of Maine Augusta. Zaslav (talk) 02:25, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Micropolitan[edit]

In the History section, it is said that Rockland is an officially designated micropolitan area, but the US Census Bureau's Metropolitan and Micropolitan Statistical Areas Map seems to disput this. I also cannot see a reference in the article backing this claim up.
