is it donat or donath???????????????????? donath was his birth name , donat screen name

His name was DONAT, see FreeBMD Registered in Chorlton (Manchester) June quarter 1905 Volume 8c page 710

His brothers:

Donat Philip Ernst, Chorlton 8c 726

Donat William, Chorlton 8c 721

Donat John Emil, Chorlton 8c 745

I have looked at the BMD for the quarter year April, May and June of 1905 and confirm that there is no Donath registered but there is a Friederich (NOT Friedrich) Robert Donat registered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RonIpstone (talk • contribs) 22:01, 3 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stage[edit]

The article solely focuses on his film career but he was a stage actor involved in some critically acclaimed performances such as the 1953 performance of Murder in the Cathedral. I don't have sources but hope this post encourages research beyond film. -- GreenC 14:14, 18 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
