Voice sample[edit]

I came here to say this too! Thank you for voicing Jimmy and contributing to Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.32.150.196 (talk) 11:22, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It is amazing. This probably shouldn't be here but that needed to be said. I love this guy for that voice sample. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.99.171.169 (talk) 20:36, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lol I agree, I'm not sure if it sends the right message to people looking at it - and may be perceived as an ad; but the message towards the end makes up for it, I guess. 139.80.206.172 (talk) 06:39, 23 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The voice clip is great. It gives any reader the chance to actually hear the voice actor speak in the style of one of their most famous roles. It's a great use of multimedia. 96.252.17.19 (talk) 10:51, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, it's a legitimate part of the page, just like a sample of a song would be for a song's article. Brightgalrs (/braɪtˈɡæl.ərˌɛs/)[1] 19:28, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The voice sample is wonderful! Kudos to Deskana and the OTRS volunteers. It's a great addition to an article about a voice actor. Wow. Braincricket (talk) 09:32, 31 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed! I wish every voice actor had the same. So often, I look at a page of someone involved in voice work and I have to hunt down Youtube clips to refresh myself when I learn they did something I didn't know was them. In this particular case, it has the added bonus of shifting from one significant role to another in one space, which was immensely helpful - all my questions were answered by the same Wiki page, which seems to be the best use I can think of for an online encyclopedia! (Additionally, as an avid H2 junkie married to a StarCraft fiend, it was a perfect find for each of us.) -DinosaurBobsYourUncle — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:5:B80:210:C1C5:A65A:20F:55E4 (talk) 00:35, 16 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Without even seeing these comments, my first thought was that the voice sample is an advertisement for Wikipedia. This should either be removed or marked as "advertisement". I vote for "advertisement". I am concerned that there won't be enough votes here. Obscure articles can get vandalized and stay that way for years.Charliestalnaker (talk) 17:45, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
