A suggestion[edit]

I feel too lazy to do it myself, at the moment, however I would love it if somebody would explain what what makes Aickman a important writer rather than just some dude who won a number of awards. I may well get aroudn to doing this myself, however, I thought I would point out this signficant lack. ***Ria777 00:05, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aickman wrote well-crafted stories that were "strange" rather than supernatural (though he delved into that too). His stories at their best were unusual, with unusual characters and effective atmosphere. Grammatical error in Conservation section[edit]

The final sentence of paragraph 4 of the Conservation section is missing a word, but I don't know what word: "Aickman published two nonfiction [_____] on the waterways in 1955." I'm thinking these may be books, but could just as easily be pamphlets, brochures, etc. Can someone confirm the format of these non-fiction items he published in 1955?
