Untitled[edit]

This article lists his full name as Richard Allen Moranis, but IMDb lists it as Frederick Alan Moranis. I don't think IMDb is necessarily authoritative, but I haven't been able to find any more information. Hcsteve 22:24, 30 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know Rick's mother so I can ask her what his full name is.

Death (hoax)[edit]

According to the story here, Moranis died today January 14. http://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=747174&mc=4&forum_id=2#9162713 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.111.252.83 (talk) 00:34, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like a joke thread. Until there is another verified source I'm taking the death date down. Esoxid (talk) 00:03, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The original article in question was copied from http://allalias.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=16874 therefore a dupe. Esoxid (talk) 00:09, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

65.25.92.129 has at various times of the year added different dates of his death. NossB (talk) 12:56, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ottawa or Toronto?[edit]

This wiki claims that Rick Moranis was born in both Ottawa and Toronto. Which is it? Nabeel_co (talk) 13:10, 25 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

aditional voices on sidekick[edit]

I'm just putting this here because it's the right thing to do.: In 2010, i was in the recording studio for sidekick during the first season, and i just recorded likes for the character of Alan Amazing for an episode. while i left the recording booth, I passed Rick Moranis who had just come out of a different booth himself. i asked him if he was going to come out of retirement as i do admire his work, and he said that he'd do a few voices for Sidekick and that'll be pretty much it for him. However, a sertain user whom i will not name believes me to be Christian Woods based on flimsey reasoning, and insists that i'm adding false information and that i'm lying to him. so i ask, what's the right thing to do here in order to at least acknowledge rick's minor work on sidekick? for the record in case the user in question reads this, I had to fly down to the recording studio via airplane. i booked from YWG to Toronto and such, so that's how i got there. Impressions[edit]

What does "He is known for such impressions as Woody Allen, Merv Griffin and David Brinkley" mean? Known for doing impressions of these people?Royalcourtier (talk) 05:31, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This sentence doesn't make any sense...[edit]

In the Acting hiatus section, this sentence appears: "After having declined an invitation to do a cameo appearance in 2016's Ghostbusters reboot, Moranis clarified in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that he had not, in fact, retired from film acting due to his hiatus by convincing his longer break is now the longest break, but instead had become selective about future roles, or as he put it, "picky"" (emphasis mine). I would fix it myself, but, even after checking the source, I don't know what it is trying to say. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.96.19.126 (talk) 13:49, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Acting hiatus[edit]

What on earth do you live on if you don't work for 20 years? ? ? ?? Especially when you've got children to pay for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.195.187.235 (talk) 01:15, 2 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ann Belsky's Death[edit]

This article has numerous inconsistencies about the date of her death, citing articles that claim she died in both 1991 and 1997. From looking through them I'm pretty sure the 1991 date is correct, but I'm not comfortable enough with editing procedure to correct them myself. Someone should probably go through and fix that. 72.229.33.195 (talk) 16:27, 29 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that 1991 is by far the most likely year for her death after having looked through the references on this page and done a search on the web. I edited accordingly and then saw on the page history that there seems to be a small edit war going on regarding this. If anyone want to change the date again I hope they argue for it here first. What kind of Cancer did Ann Belsky Die of?[edit]

I have two separate references. One says Ann Belsky died of liver cancer. The other said she died of breast cancer. Both seem equally credible. So I eliminated liver cancer from the article and just left "cancer."

Interestingly enough when I do a google search on "Ann Belsky" and "liver cancer", I get 142 results. When I do a google search on "Ann Belsky" and "breast cancer" I get 1,460 results. So there are plenty of results out there on either side of the question.

Can anybody resolve this or do we just leave it ambiguous?

Stickers[edit]

There are a lot of Rick Moranis stickers in Portland, Maine. My friend and I add them to this map:

https://map.proxi.co/#command-center?topic_id=6347ff52f7b306a753a48395&topic_key=WMu74gVida6ldihweSTeFLhNirGHIA

Somehow would like to find the sticker person, but more importantly, we wonder if this map and the sticker mystery deserves mention on the RM article? BillD207 (talk) 16:35, 11 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
