She was a daughter of Wladyslaw II "Wygnaniec" and Agnieszka. That she was a daughter of Wladyslaw II is given straight only by Alberyk of Trois Fon- taine in his chronicle ("Monumenta Germaniae Historica Scripto- res", XXIII 834). Married in the 2nd half of 1152 with Alfons VII, the king of Kastylia, who was a widover since 1149. The marriage date is given by Karol Maleczynski between 24 X and 3 XII 1152. Alfons VII since 1135 was bearing the title of "the emperor of Spain" and his wife is mentioned in the documents as the empress. In 1157 in Toledo she participated in the meeting of Alfons VII with the portugese king Alfons. It is also known that she had her own estates administrated separately. After the death of her husband (who died 21 VIII 1157) she left Kas- tylia c.1159 and was at the Aragon court. In 1161 Ryksa married again, with Rajmund II Berengar, the count of Prowansja. In Prowansja she kept the title of the Spanish empress, she had a separate court and was admited to co-ruling. When Rajmund II was killed in battle at the besiege of Nicea in 1166, she mar- ried (we don't know exactely when) with Albrecht II, the count v. Everstein from Brunszwik. The statement that after the death of the 2nd husband she married Rajmund V, the count of Tuluza, which is often accepted in the literature, has no source sup- port. She died 16 VI, of the unknown year, after 1166, maybe c.1185. From the marriage with Alfons VII Ryksa had a daughter Sancha (born 1154), the wife of Alfons II, the king of Arago- nia, and a son Ferdynand (born 1155, died in the childhood), from the 2nd marriage she had a daughter Douce, who married Rajmund V, the count of Tuluza, from the 3rd - few sons.

[[2]] "She was in charge of the government during her infant Dulcia's brief reign. Richsa was daughter of Duke Wladyslaw II. of Poland, of Krakow and Schlesia, and Agnes of Austria and first married to king Alphonso VII of Castilla-Leon and mother of two children by him, who both predeceased their father. After his death in 1157 she went to the court of Raimondo Berenger IV's court in Barcelona, whose son, Alphonso II of Aragon had been engaged to her daughter. In 1161 she married Raymond Berenguer III of Province and after his death in five years later, she married Count Albrecht II. von Everstein (d. 1197), an ally of her mother's cousin Emperor Friedrich Barbarossa. She lived (1130/40-1185)."
